How To Pick a Pineapple

Easy.  When a pineapple is ripe, it will smell sweet. Also, pick one of the stems from the top, and if it pulls out easily, the pineapple is ripe!

How To Boil an Egg....Perfectly

Place eggs in a single layer in medium to large saucepan, making sure the eggs are not stacked.  Add just enough cold water to cover the eggs by about an inch. Bring to a boil over high heat. Once it starts boiling, remove eggs from heat, cover, & let stand for 15 minutes; drain.

Run cool water over eggs so they are easy to handle, then peel and use to your heart's content!

*With extra large eggs let sit in water for 18 minutes.

How To Peel a Mango

Its really very simple... once you are shown! My wonderful husband Patrick taught me how to cut a mango properly, and his wonderful friend from Australia taught him!
Now here's the secret:  Using a sharp knife, carefully cut down along the seed, cutting the mango in half - then repeat on opposite side. Dice as shown on the left, and mango pieces should pop right out, when ripe.
