Makes: 8 ounces or so
2 organic carrots, cut into smallish chunks
1 inch fresh ginger, peeled
1 organic apple, cut into smallish chunks (seeds removed)
Using your juicer, juice ingredients in the order listed above. Drink immediately.

- Juicing is not the same as smoothies. Your body does not receive the same nutrients in smoothies as juicing. Smoothies are still good for you, just different. Juicing goes directly to your bloodstream delivering the nutrients almost immediately, where smoothies still have to be digested.
- Try to juice on an empty stomach, so you are getting the most out of the nutrients.
- Drink your juice immediately, or within 15 minutes at the most, as nutrients decrease the more you wait.
- Wait 20 minutes after juicing to eat. Let your body absorb it.
- Start with a little bit-like 8 ounces. You don't need a huge amount. When you start out you might even feel a little nauseous or sick if you have never juiced before, so take it slow.
